who wins tournys in your town??

Me.

Well truth be told I was getting tired of never being the best so I moved to the sticks where there was no one for miles and put a table in a local shed and put up a sign "Jay's". I can honestly say I am the best player there. No I won't tell you where it is. That would defeat the purpose now wouldn't it? :D

Dallas, TX

I have been out of the scene for a while but here are the players that usually win everything around here, in no particular order:

TJ Davis
Robert Clark
Fat Ralph Cortez
Chen
Corey Anderson
ME

knock knock.....:D

Probably, Gerry,,, but it used to be much tougher to put together a road atlas. Today with the net most young players don't even recognize when they are being used.

Larry Nevel, Tony Watson, Sparky Ferrel, Jeff Abernathy, Mike Davis, ... It's a toss up really.

Pool

The problem with our area and pool is they always want to favor the weaker players. All the tournaments are either loser breaks or alternate. They are played on cheap, poorly kept up bar tables. And they are short races. All of this makes it a crap shoot. The better players seem to be winning a lot of the tournaments but the best player doesn't always seem to get there. There isn't much reason to get better in my town because everything is handicapped or this or that to even the playing field. Nobody believes that getting better and putting time in should reward you. It gets old. It is too bad that a town of 100,000 can have such a bad pool scene.

Bay Area

In the San Francisco bay area the usual winners are: Billy Palmer, George Micheals, Jeff Greggory, Chris Macdonald, Tinsley Johnson, Frank Nordman, Rafael Martinez, Tony Annigoni, Austin Murphy, ......... Tom if you read this help me with the good hispanic player that plays out of the Jointed cue.
