I know man, he's like one of the people who wanders around in a store handling everything and asking endless, shitty questions and who manages to never ever buy a single thing

I know this horse is just about dead... but this reminded me of the Strongbad -garage sale episode. I think this is a link to it but cant confirm from work as youtube is blocked.

"requesting that he not be involved with the committee any longer," as you put it.

Sorry for the misunderstanding... I was indicating that YOU requested not to be involved with the system any longer and that you withdrew from the meetings.

Copyrighted or not, there is/was a clear request to NOT republish the list of members, their names, and/or their ratings. Being that you used to be a member on the committee, I think you would know how Bob felt about that.

Thank you for responding, Roger... if you have any other concerns about this matter, please address it in PM.

On a completely different note... I would like to apologize to AZB and to everyone who has read this thread expecting it to be about who won the AZ 14.1 State Championships. I have been one of the many to hijack this thread... If there is another thread created about any of this, I'd be happy to comment and continue the friendly banter... But for now, I'll withdraw from this thread...

Bruce (Coco)-

Please direct me to my post that you took as criticizing you for NOT PLAYING. I believe ALL of my posts are about you supporting the tour either as a spectator/player, which by the way as a spectator is free. All I ask is if you are going to participate in every Desert Classic Tour thread, promote a little positive behind it, or offer some constructive criticism. It just seems like it's a bombardment of negativity when it comes to you and the Desert Classic Tour, as if you're on a mission to see it fail.

I do not know you on a personal level; therefore, i can't understand your reasoning to want us to fail. I do, however, know the facade you wear. I know the people you consider your friends, who feed you information about pool around the valley, which most of the time is negative. So, my guess is they are the people who either are not affiliated with the tour and/or are upset because they were not asked to participate in any way this season. If they want facts as to why, feel free to have them call me and i will let them know why they were not asked.

In the meantime, your apology is accepted. All we ask is for constructive criticism, which typically is negative, to help us improve the tour. That is fine and understandable. But, to inundate us with constant negativity, or futile posts is not necessary, so please put it to a halt.

BVal/Ken-

Your apologies are not needed. You all have done your part to support the tour, and not to mention, this was BVal's thread to begin with. I'm sure everyone is guilty of getting off topic on some threads, including myself (for instance, the "Baconator". :) ). Jimmy and I appreciate your honesty and constructive criticism on how to continue to improve our tour. I just wish some others had the same tact as the two of you.

Neil-

You should consider doing some research before criticizing someone you don't know, but more importantly, about something that never happened. I'm sure if you had all of the facts, perhaps you would see it differently. I don't know you, or anything about you. I'm sure you are a gentleman and a great supporter of pool, otherwise, you wouldn't be here on the forums.

Take care and i apologize for the long post (that was off topic).
Dennis

BTW, my best estimate at this point is that there may be upwards of 3,000 active competition pool players in Arizona. So far, I have over 2,100 of them on my list.

Roger
I have been out to a few places playing tourneys and it seems I see the same faces so to me these numbers make sense about active members.I do think the rating system could be improved, the biggest thing to make it work is to carry a rating card, because I have seen guys say they were a 7 when a certain director wasnt there but they were really an 8,you have scumbags who do that gambling also.My friend was drunk and played a guy who was a 10,he is a 9,he played a race to 9 for a $100 because the guy said he was a 9 also,he shouldnt have been playing regardless but to lie about your rating is pathetic especially to a drunk guy.I think every pool room should have a rating list that you can also view online to see where people are at,I go to tourneys and they are trusting my word of mouth,I doubt I am on any list.
