I noticed his article a few days ago on the main page. He definitely knows which adjectives are colorful for pool.

There used to be a Dave who wrote about pool for a Japanese newspaper. I met him at Glass City Open. I thought his last name was Thomson, but I may be wrong. I wonder if it is the same guy.

You're welcome. I don't regularly read the front page articles but just happened upon it this morning and liked the way David writes.

While no one will ever take George Fels place on the back column of BD, it wouldn't be a bad thing for Billiards Digest or some other magazine to bring David Thomson into the fold.

It is the same David Thomson, JAM. Owner of Medium Pool, a billiards related advertising agency, I've known Dave for more than 20 years. He is also one of the driving forces behind the HOF. You will see him at almost every pool event, taking pictures, often wherever it takes place in the world. He is a Scotsman with the same passion for pool that we have, but from a writer's perspective...he doesn't much play the games, but he sure can write about them.

Reminded me a little of ON THE SNAP articles.. You could tell it was written by a pool person for pool people.
