Sorry got the "60 days to go" email from the BCA and I couldn't contain myself!

I know sjm is going to BCA (yes, yes, to "watch" only :-) but it would be good to put a few faces to names.

(BTW incase you haven't guessed I should be at all 3)

I'll be at the BCA (team competition). Would be cool to get an AZ party goin' on.
rayjay :p

Yes sounds like they have happened before but I've never had the pleasure. I'm sure there will be heaps going, esp to the BCA.

I never understood why many players just go for the teams, is it due to time off or am I missing something? I just noticed that the BCA / VNEA numbers really sweel when the teams show up, I would have thought most pool players would love to enter the singles events too?

Just speaking for myself, it's a combination of 1) my first time going to the BCA Nationals and I want to play, feel it out, get some experience, etc. and 2) taking time off of work is hard...I'm taking 4 days as it is and more would have been too hard. Maybe next year I'll enter the singles too. Hope to see you there!

I'm going for Valley for the singles and the team event. That is my main vacation every year. Don't be too nervous if this is your first time going. I will warn everyone to brush up on the rules and pay attention to your match. While you will meet a lot of great people who will be honest with you, you will also run into cheats, a&&holes, and all the other bad elements who would sell their brothers only kidney to win a match. Work hard and enjoy your trip, it's a great time at both tournaments. Sam

I'm going to try. I'm an alternate on a team, but not sure my schedule will allow it yet. If I go, count me in for any AZB gathering.

I will be at BCA

I will be at the BCA for both singles and team. This will be my wife's first year playing singles, so I'm excited about that.

I haven't played in singles for a few years and am really looking forward to it. I'm playing way, way better than when I last played singles and I expect to be deep in the money this year.

My team was in the money last year and I think we have an even stronger team this year. I'm really enjoying thinking of the possibilities.

My main reason for skipping singles the last few years is my 2 and 4 year old daughters.

I'll be in Reno. I don't know about the others. My fiancee ("wife" by the time the BCA starts) is playing on a team, so I'm sure that I'll be in Vegas even if for no other reason. I'll be easy to spot in Vegas because I'll be the bald guy in line to buy tickets for Episode III, baby! Oh wait. There might be other bald guys buying tickets.

Ah ha, somebody who knows about the hard times tourny - do you have any more info, dates etc? I thought it was before the BCA in recent years, is it after Reno now? Are you referring to the summer jamboree or the monthly weekend comps?

Any info appreciated :-)

The summer jamboree, One hole starts on the 13th of June I believe and 9-ball later on in the week. $100.00 entry until June 1st then $125.00 after.

The phone number for Hardtimes in Sacramento is 916-332-8793. I've got the flier at home and I'm at work. I can get the info for you on Monday if the phone number doesn't produce results.

Bca Vnea

I hope to go to both this year.... 100 year anniversary in Vegas during BCA Pool Leagues tourny and 25th Anniversary of VNEA at their Tournament. It seems that it will be a grand time for both events...........party on dudes or something like that

You should be able to get the jamboree info at hardtimesbilliards.com eventually but until then you can look up Sactowntom at onepocket.org (and maybe here) and he can tell you what's up- I believe he actually runs the tournements there.

Anyone going to the BCA show should keep an eye out for Freddie Bentivegna; I've heard he's going to release his 200 page bank pool book there. (Freddie also posts at onepocket.org)

I'll be in Vegas May 12-23 see you all there!! I think maybe we should have a few AZB only mini's.
