Who's on My Space?

Runscott,

Just click on the "Add to Friends" icon on the persons page. Location will vary according to page layout. That will send the user an email and they have the option to allow you to add them to their friends list. All of this assuming that you have an account set up.

I'm still curious how to invite you all, and how to get invited? So far MySpace is just a pile of space.

Go to your page. Hit home, which is like your control panel. From there, you have access to just about everything.

These links people are leaving, search for a box on their page that says 'Add to Friends' or something like that. It will be right below the 'Send Message' icon.

Then it will ask you if you are sure, click ok, then an email is sent to them for their approval. When they do, they show up on your page in your Friends section. You can go to anyone's page and ask to be their friend. (I have Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, though I doubt if it is really them, lol.) If it is set to private, you need to know their last name.

From your back office or control panel, you have an inbox and alerts that will tell you if you have messages, friends requests, and the requests that you have pending.

Look up the section in NPR for more tips. I am just learning too. Most of the stuff has to be formatted in HTML which is a big pain.

Okay, I think I've figured this out. Myspace is still empty, but now it's a project...I'll put stuff in it. I invited everyone to 'be my friend' who technically allowed it (in the spirit of Valentines Day).

I heard a bad joke about Kissimmee once: These two guys from California were at a Burger King in Kissimmee, and they weren't sure how to pronounce the name of the town. So one of them asks the kid behind the counter: "We are having problems with pronounciation - Where are we?"

The Kid says very slowly: "Bur-ger King"
