Why can't Shane win a major tournament outside USA?

Someone needs to get the WC out of Doha so that it can get proper coverage and make it feel like a true World Championship caliber event again.

i agree! the location where they play there is like an abandoned basketball arena. it's so dark and the lights come from like 50 feet above.

... If you win ten US opens and five masters in golf, are the critics saying you aren't the best in the world because you've never won the British open?

Well, no. But the absence of a title in one of the majors kind of haunts the greats forever -- Sam Snead never won a U.S. Open, Arnold Palmer never won a PGA Championship.

Jet lag? How long do people spend in a place usually when they travel overseas? I don't know any professional pool players personally speaking.

That's for sure.....these tournaments are more about luck than skill. The best player (Shane) is probably at a disadvantage considering the rules, equipment and format. That "magical rack" turns the game into a bad joke....I feel sorry for the players.

I "tried" to watch on of the matches last night and it was impossible (to stay awake/enthused).....what have they done to our game for goodness sake???

I definitely agree with you CJ. The format (alt break, magic rack, non-leveled tables) was too much to bear. I stopped watching because of it. Although, I do agree with the dress code, referees and tournament code of conduct.

It makes the wing ball dead, leads to pattern racking and soft-breaking, intereferes with the balls, and most of all, it's a b***h to remove when there are two balls inside it.

What exactly is the problem with using a magic rack?

you're in the "Why can't Shane win a major tournament outside USA? " thread. if they say there's a problem with the magic rack, then there surely is a problem with it.

It's only a matter of time when the stars in the sky will be in perfect alignment and everything will fall into place and Shane will win.

As far as Paul Newman is concerned, on March 30, 1987, Paul Newman won his only competitive Academy Award -- the 1986 Best Actor Oscar for his performance in "The Color of Money."

Newman received two other Oscar statuettes during his career. On March 24, 1986, he was presented an honorary Oscar for "his many and memorable compelling screen performances and for his personal integrity and dedication to his craft." On March 21, 1994, he was honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for his charitable works.

The playing field is the same for everyone, adapt to the conditions or go home.
