POW! Boy, that ban-hammer didn't take long!
Shame, too, because One Pocket, like 14.1, is considered a very classy game, and played by folks normally considered "sophisticates."

Dr One Pocket reminds me of the scorpion than needed to cross the river. Pleaded with the frog to give him a ride. The frog refused saying the scorpion would sting him. The scorpion gave his word, no stings as they would both perish in the river. The frog agreed. half way across the scorpion stings the frog. As they were both about to drown the frog asked the scorpion, "why?". The scorpion responded, " I couldn't help it, it was my nature"

Here's a fact that has not been brought up! America could easily put up five more teams that would compete well at the Mosconi Cup. Like justin said, it's just a television show with such short races it could easily be different if a shot or two was not missed! You certainly can't pin this teams misfortunes on any one player! Lady luck and crazy breaking skills of Europe is the difference in this event, again. Go USA, until Europe is on the hill, I'm not worried!

Don't get me wrong but Europe has more top players than the entire Americas. And only USA is playing. USA will not even win against any single country in Asia. I think it's really a no contest. Europe will eat USA alive. In fact Europe vs Asia is more exciting.

Have to admit I was impressed with Shuff's focus after his doubles match with Johnny...everything after that you could see the focus in the game and taking a shot at a time

Good focus but bad results, eh? Shuff lost 5 straight times after his doubles match with Johnny.
I do think it would be hard to blame him for losing to Melling I mean I think Johnny or SVB might have been the only people to halt his run...I don't agree with every shot he made I thought he played a lot more aggressive than need be at times...but did you see the 5 ball shot? Or the thin 8 ball cut?
