maybe im misunderstanding something or just not in the "know."

but it seems like a ton of people are coming into cues they have been waiting for and love them and rave about them before they even have them in their hands. then at the turn of a leaf these same cues are listed in the wanted/for sale forum.

did they not turn out as they had wished? unhappy in general with them? financial reasons? i just dont understand. its like a life journey to get these items, and once in hand its ready to ship out.

It's called flipping for $$$$$$$$,not everyone does it,I just got a South West that I was asked to sell repeatedly at the Mid West cue Show but I turned down every offer.:p Me likey S.W.'s

b/c they were not to their liking as the figured it would be or they are flipping it....some run into money problems and need to just get out of a big buy also.

Actions speak louder than words (or AZB forum posts) and some people are motivated only by the prospect of a quick financial gain.

Many people will talk up a cue as part of their "sales pitch" for when they are ready to flip it.

99% of the time, if the cue was everything it was said to be, that person would find some way not to sell it.

Watch this little cartoon for some more insight. :)

Everyone has their price, but most people will sell out way too cheap.

The same as everyone else wrote. Build up the hype, try to create some excitement and then give some lame excuse why the cue is for sale. It is called flipping. These flippers are part of the reason that some cue makers have the long waiting list. They have their name on every list as often as possible thus creating the backlog which in turn aids in their success to sell it for more than what they paid.
