If you add up the time Shorty spent with his whole body completely on the bed of the table...it would add up to years...and he also had good control with a very long distance between his bridge hand and the cue ball...also good left handed. Funny thing is he didn't seem too good using a mechanical bridge.
I saw a player climb on the table one time while he was gambling at Bananas in San Antonio. He climbed on the table, made his shot perfectly, and then jumped down to the floor quickly afterwards. I kept thinking to myself, "one foot on the floor, one foot on the floor!" LOL
I personally like playing get on the table. Fully, 100% on the table. I first experienced that playing in Harley's Rack and Cue in Jacksonville. Wriggling right onto the table was allowed, as long as you kept your shoes off of the table.
