Why is it OK to Climb on Top of the Table?

Ask Nick Varner

Its ok because Nick Varner did it in the IPT tournement-just check the rules mark

Boston Shorty...

If you add up the time Shorty spent with his whole body completely on the bed of the table...it would add up to years...and he also had good control with a very long distance between his bridge hand and the cue ball...also good left handed. Funny thing is he didn't seem too good using a mechanical bridge.

I saw a player climb on the table one time while he was gambling at Bananas in San Antonio. He climbed on the table, made his shot perfectly, and then jumped down to the floor quickly afterwards. I kept thinking to myself, "one foot on the floor, one foot on the floor!" LOL :o

Hell, back in the early 80's at the Cue Club you could climb completely on the table. Here's Al "Little Al" Mason.

special thanks to Bill Porter for taking these pics****
That is ridiculous. Why didn't he just develop his off hand?
I assume he was hitting that softly or he is one hell of a gymnist to get out of the way.

I personally like playing get on the table. Fully, 100% on the table. I first experienced that playing in Harley's Rack and Cue in Jacksonville. Wriggling right onto the table was allowed, as long as you kept your shoes off of the table.
