it can take a while for the shine on new simonis, as well as on a new set of balls to wear off, sounds like its plays pretty fast to me.
Well, maybe, but there have been companies who have tried to sell L-shaped tables. Also oval and Z-shaped, not to mention the kind with only two or four pockets, or even no pockets at all. And at a recent WPC, there was a company selling an hour-glass-shaped table so that you had to maneuver through the "waist" to get to the other end.cuetechasaurus said:weordos I never said there was a l shaped table
As has been noted, there is a big difference between slow cloth and dead cushions (or even slidy cushions). It is possible to measure how fast the cloth is if you have a stop watch and can shoot a lag shot well. Just time a good lag that almost touches the second cushion and report the time between hitting the far cushion and coming to a stop. From that time, we can tell whether the cloth is faster or slower than typical good pool cloth.Chowboy said:I recently had a Diamond Pro installed in my home. Among other issues I've experienced, it seems to play slow. Shoot, one of the short rails seems almost deadI talked to Brian and he explained that the balls skidding off the rails is normal for new cloth. I suppose that is prolly true. It still seems slower than what I'm used to even when a ball is not coming off the rail.
Any ideas?
