Why music players are banned in most tourneys?

I'm not looking for praise here but as a combat veteran with PTSD the music I listen to really helps calms me down a few times I played pool in Iraq when mortar attacks happen.

I'm not trying to justify why I wear earbuds when plaint pool bu it is a medical condition that would allow me to wear earbuds during tournament play if I was to start having flash backs
