Why No Big Bar Table Tournaments in the Southeast?

So I would conclude that the biggest bar table events are in tn,al,nc.
there are too many nits in florida to have really big events there, everyone talks about playing but seldom pulls the trigger

Dont forget about the scotty townsend event may 1st i think in mobile

That's the Billiard Club of Mobile, Alabama. Calcutta will be held also, in addition to the GUARANTEED purse of $5,000.00. It's May 1 & May 2, a Saturday and Sunday.

I hear there will be action there. Lots of champs coming out for this tournament including U.S. Open 9 Ball Champion, John Schmidt.

Thanks Joey A for the Internet plane fare deals, and thank you all for the tournaments and dates out of FL...but in the Southest as I asked. Johnnyt

Considering that you are in Tampa I would recommend Allegiant Air at the St Pete's airport. You can catch a round trip flight to Greensboro, NC or Greenville, SC for $108.

If you plan on flying to northern SC or Greensboro/Charlotte area I highly suggest you check out Allegiant Air. You can fly round trip to a few locations and the prices are always under $200. The only downside is that they do not fly every day.

Looks like Billiard Club in Mobile, Alabama will be hosting a BIG bar table tournament with $5,000 guaranteed purse PLUS a Big Calcutta. Their FIRST tournament had over $7,000.00 in the Calcutta and over 90 players.

Think this one qualifies as BIG, SOUTHEAST and maybe one of the BEST.

JoeyA (never got a glimpse at any of the money though)

Sorry to here you didn't cash. You played well in the one at White Diamonds though. Everyone has an off tournament once in awhile. Good luck at the Gem. Johnnyt
