How do people keep socks that long? I struggle to keep them for a month. They seem to just disappear.

It's easy in Florida. We don't wear socks.

Walt, thanks for sharing that story....

You should be ashamed....not teaching your boy about pool ;)

Can't remember if it was a comedy skit or just a quit moment in a movie that was something along those lines....comedian said 8-ball was racist....something along the lines of "the white ball goes all around the world, knocking all the other different colored balls out, and then he dominates the earth by finally knocking the black ball off the table"

Reminded me of an Eddie Murphy style delivery in Raw or Delerious....hell, it could have been Eddie :D

So, you gonna help him win some lunch money at camp??? :D

It was MArtin Lawrence with Will SMith.
I personally don't believe this story but hey it could happen....

My dad sure couldn't wait that long....he started me in it when I was 4!
Thats a likely age for me to start my son. I figure at 4 you have enough brainwork going and physical skills to begin to understand how things are done.

My son is only 1 and half but it still doesn't stop me from putting him on the table and letting him roll the balls into the pockets. At least at this point he's enjoying that.

Get him into bowling, where the big black ball can knock over all the white pins with red necks.

Interesting side note

Try to see the HBO , Real Sports, with Bruan Gumble that was on this week.
It is about a 5 year old golfer the likes of I have not seen since Tiger Woods. He will be the next Tiger. It is an unbelieveable story. And what is funny, we were talking on this thread recently about one eyed pool players, well this kid is one eyed due to cancer. Start them young. I exposed all 7 of them to the game before they were 3.

Actually, their has been a few studies and published articles of that very subject. In one study they replaced all of the white cue balls with black cue balls and made the 8 ball white at a local pool room. It freaked a lot of players out.

Play eight ball like Luke Skywalker (Cue ball) is annihilating all of the colored balls until he gets to face Darth Vader (eight ball). Luke is stuck in the land of the green and he hides a little, fires a little, runs up and down the land occasionally, and then.... there he is. Darth. Just Luke and Darth. Put him in the hole, man! Show him you rule the land of the green!

I gotta stay off the eight morning cups of coffee. Reality is becoming blurred. By the way, how geek is that scenario? I don't even watch the Star Wars Saga.

What is a dinky-doo?

Dinky Doo is a song by well known New Orleans recording artist Eddie "The Maharaja of New Orleans" Bo.
Eddie Bo put this record out on Ric Records, a N.O. label recording studio and I'm on my way to try and find a 'sample' of this song for you.
