Why won't my new avatar show on my posts?

I've been meaning to ask about this for a while.

A long time ago I changed my avatar and then a week later changed it again. The new avatar is within size limitations and still shows whenever I look at my profile, but it won't show on any of my posts.

No matter what I do, it still only shows my original avatar on all my posts. I just put that one up in a hurry and never meant it to be the permanent avatar.

Anyone else had this problem or know how to solve it?
 
Have you eddited profile picture and then change the avitar in the user cp?

Yes. I successfully uploaded a new avatar in my profile under user cp. The new avatar is always there when I look in my profile, but it won't appear on any of my posts.

The avatar you see here isn't the one in my profile, I changed it about three months ago.
 
Have you tried it since Mike fixed the folder permissions yesterday?
It worked for me just now.
 
Do you have your settings set to hide all avatars and signatures?

Sometimes people do that so they can view the forums at work.
 
Duh. I was using "Edit profile picture" instead of "Edit avatar". Once I figured that out, I changed it temporarily to one I have here at work. I'll change it again to the one I want when I get home tonight.

I recognize Brandon Shuff waiting for his turn to play in your picture for PoolActionTV.com. He plays in my pool league.

The first time I played him I had no idea who he was, how good he was, or that he'd already been winning the local tournaments pretty consistently. Of course he was making every shot, but what impressed me was that his position play was right on spot and seemed totally effortless. I'm not always a smartass but I couldn't help myself that night. My way of throwing him a complement was to say "Dude, your position play totally sucks." He just said "I know man."
