Why would it be easier to draw with one cue over the other?

Paradigm regained (somewhat predictably!)

It was a bit off topic but with many of these posts I have observed positions taken that are often a "perceived" way of things happening and then "proven" ways of things happening grounded in science. Each side takes their positions.

Yes it is interesting.

Any two people arguing can take up entrenched positions. But I suppose that when one is a scientist by inclination and the other as you put it a 'perceiver', you can probably abandon all hope of useful dialog because they will be on completely different wavelengths. Snow's "a great gulf fixed" I guess.

What is interesting is to try to imagine living in a world where either everyone was a scientist or everyone was a 'perceiver'. I tried just now and can tell you I didn't like it.:(

Nothing will substitute skill. Give a C player a perfect cue & he'll still struggle with draw. Give an A player a broom stick with a tip & he'll get draw.

Exactly, everything else aside for anyone reading this pick up a book or better yet get yourself some lessons. Money better spent than on pool cues. I can't count how many times I have seen a C player with a $1000 dollar cue and still buying every new shaft that comes out but still cannot do more than pocket balls a few balls.

Required reading assignment;

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenence.

That will pretty much sum it up.

Well I think you already get the difference between the analytical and the romantic ways to see the world. I think you'd enjoy it anyway though.

I found it to be a little tough to get into but once I did I enjoyed it.
