Yes it is interesting.
Any two people arguing can take up entrenched positions. But I suppose that when one is a scientist by inclination and the other as you put it a 'perceiver', you can probably abandon all hope of useful dialog because they will be on completely different wavelengths. Snow's "a great gulf fixed" I guess.
What is interesting is to try to imagine living in a world where either everyone was a scientist or everyone was a 'perceiver'. I tried just now and can tell you I didn't like it.
