Why?

Why does a stroke just not show up to play? I mean we all study the stroke endlessly and yet, sometimes we can't find it to save our lives. I guess more importantly than why is what is the remedy?
I am being serious. Its not PSR. Do I need to do 10,000 stroke training shots and I only did 9000?

Because we are humans. We all have times when everything we do is perfect, and times when it is not so perfect.

Accept it and keep going going on.

Because maybe it's not stroke. It could be for one example of several, the vision center is changed in stance and therefore aim is off. For another, it could be you are hitting the shots the wrong speed and getting extra throw, etc.

Sounds like you need an SPF Lesson.

To me, the problem seems to be that no matter how refined a player's mechanics may be - they will have nothing but problems if they are CONSCIOUSLY trying to employ them. JMO.

Had one. Two actually. I didn't think it was the case but it was. I tried something different today and it I felt good. I have been pausing at the CB. Today I paused more in the back swing. If I am being accurate it really is less of a full pause but more of a good slow pitching motion. The first improvement was that my accuracy was back, precision was better and was accelerating through CB better.

Second improvement after getting that in sync was it facilitated a better follow-through. Stroke was good tonight. I am going to switch to the two pause (at CB and in back swing) from here on.

Thanks Randy that was the culprit.

You're Welcome.

All of us should remember that we must stop our cue stick at least three times.
