WILL 70% ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL HURT A REVO FINISH

If you mean that when I stretch, my bridge hand is further down the cue and thus at a less used area so it’s more likely to rub off there, I don’t know if that’s the case since I clean the shaft pretty thoroughly and evenly. Or did you mean something else?
No, that's what I meant.

No, that's what I meant.
Do you think my shaft might be defective for it to still be leaving the black residue if I’ve been using it every day since August? Most people seem to say that the residue tends to stop being left behind after using it for a ‘while’ though I don’t know how long they mean. It’s really strange. I love how the shaft plays though.

I think mine stopped shedding after ten or twenty hours of play.

I imagine that you want to keep chalk or anything abrasive off of it. If you do get chalk on it, I suppose that could promote shedding.

I have yet to need to use any alcohol wipes that came with my revo, ignite, or cynergy. I use the ”magic cloth” and wipe it down when it starts to get a little sticky. I have found washing my hands frequently and using that cloth that I have zero issues with any of the CF shafts.

I guess I could also play with a glove, but I feel like I lose connection with the cue and that it’s almost too slick when using a glove and a CF shaft. That’s just me and YMMV
