This thread about Pool Cue Cases made me wonder if any Case Maker will capture the market with the perfect Pool Cue Case.

Honestly I have several Cases I really like, but honestly all need a thing or two change, enlarge, or improved upon to achieve perfection for me.;)

Honestly, you will always find something wrong with something no matter what it is. Even if everything was exactly the way you wanted, it would cost too much or shipping would be too much or............well you get it.

I enjoy reading what people have to say about cue cases. I built cases at one time and i am in the process of getting tools together so i can build cases again. You are always going to find people that only like certain things. I plan on building custom cases soon. I have added a picture of one of my old cases. Some people would like this and some would not. This case is about 14 years old. I do apologize to CocoboloCowboy if i have hijacked your thread.

I think it depends upon the market you are buying a case in. I think that custom Cases makers can provide just about anything that customers wants. But, I doubt that this will ever be true when you are considering production cues cases, although there certainly is allot of diversity in the cases that are currently being imported from China.

I would contact Rusty Melton if you want a Top of the Line Custom Case, while he has not been around as long as many the quality of his work speaks louder than words ever can. In addition he is also a very Humble man who doesn't have to do anything except allow his work and customer service do all the talking.

Thanks

Rusty's work is totally out of the box, and headed towards a NEW DIMENSION in Case making IMHO.

Changes

My feelings are that we always have changing equipment, cues, gadgets. When we buy/order a case we always think we are getting what we need but those needs will change over time. The concept of money applies here. The more you make the more you spend. Just like money, the more we have the more we need. When we buy cases we don't think they are too heavy or small or not protective enough until something happens that makes us reconsider our ideals. A case will never be perfect. It may be close but at some point there will always be something, even if it's small and irrelevent, that we wish was different. JMO.

Which Case Market?

1. Soft Cases
2. Box Cases
3. Hard Cases
4. Dealer Cases

Just to mention a few.

Then you got the players

1. Bar Box Players
2. Carom [3 Cushion] Players
3. Pro Players
4. Road Players

The perfect case is what the case owner decide!!!!!!!!

I thought I had found the perfect case one time. It was beautiful. It was expandable and contractable so it could hold every cue anyone ever owned, even all of Fatboy's collection. It had built in WIFI for streaming TAR, a hidden compartment for holding mulitple jelly rolls, built-in cd player for playing accu-stat cds. I thought it was perfect until I found out they couldn't make it with an air-barrel pocket!

Sadly, I will keep looking. ;)

Now, now, BVal. You know full well that a perfect person like Bruce has a right to demand perfection in everything he buys...or says he buys...or thinks about buying...or talks about buying...or dreams of buying...or lies about thinking about buying...or suckering makers into posting pictures of things he's lying about thinking about buying...or...

:confused:It is not the Quiver that needs to be perfect!
It is the Arrow that needs to be good while the Indian needs to be perfect. :D
Most real Cowboys should know that.

Very true. Everybody's idea of perfect is different. And even my idea of perfect can vary day to day.

mine is perfect for me

I do not live out of it, and I just don't feel like carrying my cues (without a case) when I occasionally go to the poolhall. Guess I'm too easy. ;)
