Will you be exercising your option to buy a Jim Murnak cue case?

Scott,

I think your avatar is supposed to be an inlay but it reminds me of a KKK hood.

John

Think Scott should explain his AVATAR. To me it looks like a Ultra Modern Light Fixture.

Nostroke when nyousaid "Why are encouraging this poster and thereby others to turn this forum into a Sales Soap Box? I could see if he was a long time poster but the only posts i see are these sales pitches.
"

You made a good point....

To be realistic ...

I am probably 6-7 months away from getting one, so no
I won't exercise the special offer, but do plan to get one
sometime in the future.

I didn't hear anyone complain when he was giving away free cases, but then what do I know. I for one was glad for the chance to get a Jim Murnak cue case and I would not even have known about it if he had posted the offer in another section of the forum.

Sure if it was just the free offer thing for publicity, I would have let it slide. But then we get the 25% off coupons, then a follow-up. It's too much now IMHO.

AMEN

Plus the 25% Off thing is nice gesture from jimM

I just don't see the problem. Maybe this could have been moved to the "For Sale" forum, but what's the harm? If it's really THAT much of a problem maybe the admin will move it.

I'd much rather read this thread than some drivel about Fast Larry and what he has/hasn't done to/for the game of pool.

Shorty--after I read your post I was curious about the weight so I emptied and weighed the following cases:
Murnak 2x4 = 6.2 lb. vintage line
Justis 2x4 = 5.4 2- 8" pockets w/handles and strap
Whitten 2x4 = 4.6 one pocket w/handle and strap
Whitten 2x2 = 3.6 one pocket w/handle
All the extra storage does weigh a little extra

Assuming these weights are correct, I guess it isn't bad since the pocket is 24" high and has 6 zipper compartments. It also has 2 shoulder straps and one can be removed. If I made a smaller pocket, I would beat most of them. Also, when you put 4 or 5 lbs of cues in the case, a jump stick butt and alot of other things that you carry, the difference will not be important. I seem to be defensive about this but I've never had anyone pick up the case and say that it felt heavy.

Thanks,
Jim

You know what fella's, I think as nice as this case is I would not let .8 lbs bother me, but that might just be me IMHO.

The weight does not bother me -- I bought two. I was just providing more info. My travel case weighs alot more than any of my other cases and I still use it. I buy a case because of what it offers me not because of what it weighs. Jim's case could weigh two pounds more and I would still think it is an awesome case. Thanks again Jim

My Whitten 2 x 4 with Two Cues, Two 4 Shafts, Two Pockets Full of ALL THE JUNK, I HUMP. Weight about 10.5-11 LBS.

My Whitten 3 x 6, with Shoulder Strap, Pad, Large & Small Pocket WEIGHS MT about 7.5-8 LBS.

Guys and Dolls if you are going to BUY a Leather Case, get yourself a 3 x 6, as if you buy Smaller, you will be ASS KICKING yourself. Plus you do not have to fill it to capacity everytime you go shoot Pool.

My Six Month Old Step Grandson weights 15 LBS., and keep getting Bigger.

Personally I would rather Hump my Pool Cue Cases, than carry the kid from place to place. No CHANCe of getting POOPED on by my Pool Case....
:)

You've got to get a shoulder strap for the kid!

As you know everyone who emailed me for the drawing of the cue cases but didn't get a discount number also have the option to buy a #2100 2x4 case with initials for $285 shipped. The regular price is now $399+$20 S&H+$10 for two initials. Your $285 shipped price is good through August 31st. I would like to know who thinks that they may exercise this option. Jim Murnak

Hi Jim,

Somehow I missed out on your special email promotion thing, but how about honoring the Sale Price of $285.00 for a #2100 for ALL AZ Members?? Your objective is to introduce the product, create interest, and TAKE ORDERS, right?

I've looked at your website and love the cases. But it feels like the rest of us are being penalized for not perusing all the Threads on a daily basis. Pool is certainly a priority but spending hours on the forum isn't.

And YES, I will take a Black Cherry one for the sale price, plus $30.00 to make it a 3x6. Just say the word!

Thanks!

Think the 2101 is better looking with asll the tooling...

That is something that I didn't think of before. I did make the prices transferable because I wanted as many people to do this as possible. So, looking at it that way, I will extend the price to all AZ members until August 31st as was originally established. Also, there is a $100 email, I think a $200 email and about 15 or so $250 emails that can be borrowed and used once. I didn't mean to exclude anyone but I guess I did.

Thanks,
Jim

I want a 3x6 2100 in Black Cherry. Actually, I would rather have the 2101 if the offer is being extended for that model.... Can I order it online and get the discounts, or do I need to call and speak to someone specific?
