Willie Mosconi Commemerative Cue By Joss

My friend bought two of these when they came out in 98, but I believe that he only paid around 400-500 EA for them.

Yeah I guess I should clarify again, they made alot of numbered cues seperate. The value of the package is having the case and the first 10. There were only 10 package sets sold in the world, the only way you could buy the package was if you were a dealer with crystal leisure, and brunswick billiards. The 10 package deals were sold to Dealers only. if someone has the cue you are right they were only 400-500 dollars when they came out.

Downing Billiard Supply out of Castalia, OH bought 2 that is how Doug Bourque got 1. Downings sold Doug's Cues for a long time.

i understand that the were a collectors item.. but i would have had a hard time spending a grand on both of them back then.. let along 5,500 today.. no matter how big of a collectors piece they are, i would rather put that 5500 into something else.. like anything i know that will increase in value...

i am sorry to dis your auction.. but i dont ever see any joss east cues ever worth that much.. there are plenty i would love to buy.. maybe some gold letter joss's... but that would be about it.. and for 5500 you could buy ALOT of them....

chrisonline,

You don't have to apoligize for dissing my auction, you are definitely entitled to your opinion. I already have a 4k offer right now, with that in mind I thought that I could get more or I at least have to explore the possibility of getting more. I am a real estate agent, auctioneer and pool room owner. I can definitley handle a little criticizem even if I can't spell it right, if I don't get more than the offer I have I am not going to lose sleep over it. I would keep them if I collected these types of cues, but I don't so I am selling it to someone who does or wants to.

I respect everybody's opinion as long as it has validity, and I appreciate feedback.

Matt.. you are deffinatly right.. they are all well worth it to the right people...
i just saw the price you had them at and it really struck me as high.. but the more i thought about it.. i believe your right.. i think the whole thing is that they dont look like anything special.. they are somewhat plain, and to me, i just couldnt see the investment.. but i guess the value is there seeing people want them.. i wish you the best of luck with your auction.. :)
