Win $100 by trying out Clippeo, a new way to clip the best parts of YouTube pool vids

Quick update: we've had only 2 entries in the AZB contest to win $100, which ends this Friday at 5:00 PM Pacific time, so you'd have a great chance of winning if you simply participate. Check out post #1 for the rules.

Thanks,
Ron

Are you including mine in those two? If so I've been nobbled, and it's a lock for Barton.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't view either of the OP videos. They both bring up the site, but never load or show any sign of loading.

Edit -

It's working chrome! This is way cool!

Hi Dave, sorry to hear you're having trouble with the site. What browser are you using? Please try it with Firefox or Chrome... we haven't tested thoroughly with IE9 and IE10 yet.

Chrome and IE10. It started to load on Chrome but was taking a very long time.

Another straightpool video. Corey Deuel's 229 ball run. All breakshots and last 4 shot end-patterns clipped. Lots of unconventional patterns.

Awesome, Straightpool_99!! I gave that one 5-stars – make sure you vote on it, too.

Cool that you got the hang of clipping with Clippeo. FYI, I just deployed some new code that should make clipping easier – now you'll see "drag handles" on either side of the clip that you can use, instead of clicking the Start and End time fields.

Would love your feedback on what you found easy / hard after clipping those three videos. PM is great to keep it offline.

Thanks for the quick reply, Dave. Chrome should work fine as long as it's a recent version. If you know how to check the version number, that'd be helpful.

Also, would be nice to know your internet connection's download speed as reported by http://www.speedtest.net/ if you have a moment.

43.16Mbps on IE10 at work.
I'll run a test when I get back home and let you know. I appreciate the help, Clippeo seems like a great tool for users, I just wish I could use it :) lol

It's working in Chrome! This is way cool!

Only 7.5 hours left to go in the $100 contest to create the highest-rated Clippeo, and we've got only 2 AZBers in the running:

John Barton with 3:
http://clippeo.com/watch/RYW
http://clippeo.com/watch/RGN
http://clippeo.com/watch/RGq

and Straightpool_99 with 3:
http://clippeo.com/watch/RXX
http://clippeo.com/watch/RXY
http://clippeo.com/watch/RY3

PatheticShark had an entry, but the underlying YouTube video was pulled by its owner.

If you have a dog in this race, go give 5 stars to your favorite of those 6 Clippeos now. Or feel free to create your own, post the link to this thread, and have a chance at the $100! I'll announce the winner tonight shortly after 5:00 PM Pacific time.

ps. I pushed some code yesterday that makes clipping much easier – you'll find drag handles on the ends of the clip now when editing.

Thanks,
Ron

Pulled? I was nobbled by the competition! Mind you, Barton needs all the help he can get. Issuing challenges to all and sundry can get expensive. That $100 might come in handy.

I was not trying to be part of a contest. I don't expect any ratings.

Please don't count the ones I did.

And the winner of our little contest is Straightpool_99, with this excellent Clippeo of Corey Deuel's 229 ball run, complete with the best 36 parts clipped. He got 44 views and 5/5 stars from two raters:

Straightpool_99, please PM with your paypal email and I'll get the $100 prize sent out to you.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate your participation and feedback on my new project.

Wow! Thanks a lot!:D I really love Clippeo. It's awesome for serious study of position play and other technical stuff in pro player videos, and it's super easy too! I hope I played my little part in making this great little program known on Azbilliards.

I'm planning to make more straightpool videos since I've taken an interest in understanding pattern play better, maybe someone else will benefit from them as well. Hopefully this program will be well known among azbilliards users.
