I am very glad that the outcome was not a whole lot worse.
It was good that you posted this though, and made the subject up front.
People always need reminding of safety, you just get complacent other wise.
You get away with doing something then Bam, it bits ya.
 
Don't "Grab" a ring!!

Actually it was so fast that I only felt the cutter hit my thumb about 10 times......... it was probably more like 100, @ 20,000 rpm.

The blood in the 1/16 in groove filled it up and the pic doesn't show he depth..........

I quit for the day while I still have 2 arms....................


NOTE TO SELF......SHUT THE ROUTER OFF BEFORE YOU GRAB A RING....

the BRENTMIESTER magic....i think the squirrel suggested this to you (HA!)..by the way, it seems your squirrel budy sent his cousin up to my shop. he just came in and walked the joint like he was an inspector.
