Winning one pocket

Hi there, long time lurker, first time poster.
I am interested in this book, but was wondering if it is indeed worth the $200 to $400 dollar price range that I'm seeing on Ebay and Amazon.
Hope you fellow one pocket players can help a brother out.

Well the info inside the book is priceless if you have never read the book. But the book is so expensive because they just dont make it anymore and they are very collectable. Hope this helps.
 
This is the only book that really tells it all. I found Shots, Moves and Strategies interesting too. Some of the shots described are above my skill level, (not good at jumping the QB off a rail), but others have proven very valuable. As for the money, it's up to you. Both books are good reads.
 
I have that book, autographed by Grady, also have Shots, Moves and Strategies and Willie Mosconi's little red book.

I didnt know the Winning One-Pocket book was so expensive now days.

Anyone considering playing one pocket should read this book and take the diagrams to the table to practice. Also, to avoiding learning moves the hard way, I recommend all of Grady's One-Pocket tapes. I say tapes because I bought them years ago........solid gold information.

You can pick them up occasionally for around $200.00 per book, I wouldn't pay much more than that. You might contact Eddie personally, he may be able to help you out.

I'm going to play the cue ball off the right side of the 15 kicking it out of there with the cue ball going to the short rail then long rail then caroming the 3 out off there, might even get lucky and get the cue ball behind the stack by the 11 and 14 balls. You could also possibly bank the 3 ball toward the 6 ball and get things moving toward your pocket, and after the cue ball banks the 3 ball play it to carom off the right side of the 15 ball doubling the corner and sliding in behind the 11 ball near the 14 ball. I think I like this shot better than the first shot.

Valid option...where does the CB end up? Scratch that.

How many times out of 10 can you guess the CB's final resting spot within an inch?!

Just on first glance, I think two-railing the 3 into the 15 and stopping the cue ball dead right there is a good enough answer to this break. The one doesn't bank straight back easily, and if for some reason the 7 gets knocked away, the 12 has no bank lane.
 
Bear in mind that much of the info in Eddie Robin's books you may not find elsewhere. Also, in all probability, they will not be reprinted.
 
Thank you for your replies, I'm gonna try and get both of the books.
Right now they are at 200(win 1pckt)used & new is 350.00 on ebay. Hopefully
I can nab the two used ones for under 400.00
As for that scenario, I'd go into full scale panic mode and try a stop shot
on the 13 ball with a 1/2 ball hit on the fifteen. Hopefully the 15 would
also take out the 3 ball. Probably not right but as I'd stated it's panic
time.
