Last I heard, there was some issue with the rights that prevents you from issuing a reprint -- is this true?

When you look up an out of print book on Amazon, you'll see text saying "I own the rights to this title and would like to make it available again through Amazon." Follow that link and you'll see this:
Did you know that you can take advantage of the latest print-on-demand (POD) technology to sell your out-of-print or out-of-stock books?

If you are a publisher, an author, or another rights holder who would like to make a book available again to the public, we can help. Contemplating the value of an offset print run for an out-of-stock title? Print-on-demand can create an economic advantage for these titles as well.

Amazon.com offers digital storage and print-on-demand (POD) services through BookSurge. BookSurge provides inventory-free fulfillment services that allow you to make your book available for sale at any level of demand through Amazon.com and other sales channels in just a few weeks. Maintain sales revenue for your book based on existing demand and eliminate the guesswork and need for additional inventory.

How does it work? Depending on your needs, BookSurge can customize services to fit virtually any budget or financial goal--store your print-ready PDF files in the BookSurge Global Publishing System (GPS), or we can convert your hard copy book into a digital file using our sophisticated scanning equipment. It’s that easy.

To learn more about maintaining sales of your book through services offered by BookSurge, simply fill out the information below. To get started, you must be the exclusive rights holder of the titles you wish to submit. A BookSurge publishing consultant will contact you with the appropriate information to meet your goals.

Seems like something like that might be one way to go about getting more copies out (good for players) and more money in your pocket (good for you).

While I would like to see a copy of this book, several sources told me it is highly overrated as an instructional book on One Pocket. I would appreciate any feedback on this.

But, since you don't know, you don't know...

Only way I could see that statement rooted in logic would be if one were comparing the book to actual lessons. That said, who's gonna give better 1H lessons than the people consulted by Eddie Robin?

great thread. Eddie Robin FWIW has done a few deals with me on his books and they were always perfect transactions. My most cherished pool item besides my playing cues/case is a set of lizard skin W1P/SMS that Robin sold to me 4 or 5 years ago through ebay.

Robin's books are imo the best pool books on the market. Everything about them, from the editorial to the illustrations to the binding is about as good as you could ask for. I was lucky enough to be an original buyer in the early 90s of both books (SMS/W1P 1st ed) and I remember getting the errata sheets in the mail sometime after I got the book. Toilet paper is a funny way of putting it but yes the errata sheets came on what looked like rice paper or something.

At the end of the books there was a listing of future books from Billiard World publishing. I still salivate looking at that list. I was so disappointed to hear that things had gone bad and there would be no Winning Nineball or Winning Straight Pool. Man, those books would have been the nuts.

Hey Eddie, Glad to see you joined in !! Nothing like straight from the "horses mouth". Give me a call later. Bill

can't believe I noticed Eddie's posts a week later! Hope he shows up again and covers his future plans. Good to see him online, hope he is well and didn't give up his ideas about book on Straight Pool (which must be almost ready as far as I know).
