wish i had my camera yesterday

go figure, i left my camera at a relatives grad party this past weekend
there's a guy that shoots in our wed nite blind draw 8 ball tourney at the vfw
he's in his 80's, he's not even sure exactly
last week , he & i got paired up for the first time
and i couldnt help but notice how bad his cue sounded

it's one of those brass jointed beat to death ramin shafts with a screw on tip,
which by the way, was flat as a pancake

so i asked him if he'd let me fix it up for him,
i know he doesnt have much money,
because there's another guy there that always pays his $5 entry for him
so i was doing this as a favor for an old veteran

anywaysssssssssssssssssssss,
i could turn the ferrule by hand
there was some kind of double sided masking tape on the tenon
russ now has a new tip and ferrule and a craterless shaft

Always a great feeling to be able to do a favor for someone when it probably means, in this case so much to another person.
Our seniors and vets are the ones who built this great continent of ours and not all of them are having a great time of it these days.
