Wizard Tips

Just thought I'd chime in on these tips. I bought 4, and for $20 I was willing to pitch 'em. I've used Mooris for a very long time. I've tried lots of other layered tips - and the best of them never took me long to feel that they were "close but no cigar". Some were, frankly, kinda pathetic.
I just had a Wizard med put on a shaft today (I play ONLY w/ P314 shafts from the roughly 2000 to 2005 time frame - no cat, just small "314" - have 7 or 8 so I know what to expect from them).
These Wizards are the real deal IMHO. First time I've tried ANY other layered tip & walked away feeling like I couldn't really tell the difference. Feel, hit, response, spin, grip - any of those esoteric values you want to apply.
Glad I bought four. Looks like I'll use every one.
Thanks for steering me to something good!
Chris

Yo Marcus

Got the tips, arrived in a an envelope pacaged in an ADDITIONAL envelope from the post office with an apology for damaging the original packaging. The envelope you sent was taped around the whole thing.

Thanks ... next tip change I'll try one of these.

SORRY FOR THE DAMAGE TO THE ENVELOPE. I WAS THE ONE THAT TAPED THE ENVELOPE ALL THE WAY AROUND. I FIGURED THERE WAS NO WAY FOR THE USPS TO DAMAGE AN ENVELOPE THAT WAS FULLY WRAPPED.

I completely agree, Marcus!! These have to be one of those absolute 'best bang for your buck' pool items. I have told people about them, and when they ask how much, and I tell them, they seem to lose interest, or figure that a layered tip so inexpensive must be crap or something.

Before these tips, I had tried different tips, both layered and non-layered, and nothing to could diminish my fondness for the Moori tip...until a certain cue maker turned me on to these. Actually, it came on a cue that I had just purchased, and I fell instantly in love with it. I emailed the maker, and he told me what the tip was. When I went 'in search of' a vendor who carried these, and saw the pricing, I was floored...how on earth could a tip that performed so well, cost so little?!...compared to other layered tips.

I really would suggest that players give them a try, especially if they are unhappy with their current tip. The cost is small enough that if they do not like them, they are not out anywhere near the money they would be out if they tried a more expensive layered tip.

Once they are broken in, I would say that the Wizard M is slightly harder
than that of the Moori M...but not overly so. I found it incredibly easy to draw with them, and have yet to experience a miscue on any cue that had this tip on it.

I liked it so much that when I was about to receive my latest player, I told the maker to bag the Moori that was originally requested on the one shaft, and just install Wizard M's on both shafts. It is a decision I have yet to regret!!

You must use a Joss. The first cuemaker I ever dealt with that used them instead of Moori was Dan Janes. He was the guy that got me onto the Wizard.

2 Medium And 9 Hards Left In Stock.....

I May Be Away From My Computer For The Rest Of The Afternoon, So If You Have An Order Let Me Know.

If The Orders Are Large Enough, I'll Do Another Batch At The Introductory Pricing. If Not They We Be Posted Again In A New Thread At Regular Price......they Are Worth Way More Than Even Regular Price, So It's Not A Huge Deal.

Nope, not a Joss....t'was another maker, but I suspect the timing was roughly the same.
