Reanne Evans made history at this event by becoming the first Lady to ever win 4 WLBSA World Ladies Snooker titles consecutively.

At only 22 years old she also has a massive future ahead of her as well!

We were at the event to provide video coverage and it was nice to meet up with some of the girls and also Mandy Fisher (Chairperson of WLBSA and no relation to Alison or Kelly!).

If anyone wants to see the 45 minute highlight programme then just visit CueSport TV.

The highlight of the final was a 52 break by Reanne in a match where both players struggled to get going. A real shame as they certainly are capable of better - Reanne made a 140 at the UK Championships this year.

I know snooker is a minority sport in the USA but it is gaining in popularity all over the world.

She is a great player with a great future.

She has considered making the move to the USA to play on the 9-ball circuit as there is not much available for female snooker players in terms of regular prize money.

There are two things holding her back -

1. She is the partner of Mark Allen - world ranked number 16 snooker player.

2. She has a young daughter

The womens game had good prize money back in the 80's early 90's but when World Snooker withdrew their backing it has tumbled a bit.

Good Prize Money!

Who are you kidding?
The women's game has always had ridiculously low prize money.
The year before Kelly Fisher went to the US she won all 10 titles and a grand total of ?16,000. When Alison was at the top of her game the prize money was even less.
If you call that good prize money for a professional player when the men can earn that for getting kicked out of a first round of any tounament then you have a seriously warped idea of what constitutes good!

your right there was never any money in womans game
but 3 years ago apart from world mens title top 16 players were only getting 2 to 3 grand in first round in most ranking tournaments and when you won it only went up sometimes as little as 1800 pounds then 3 or 4 grand next round not really much of a career there either

I watched some of her matches on Internet and I think she will dominate if she moves to the U.S to play 9 balls.
