Wolverine Pool

I'm an Ohio State fan, but I might have to convert after seeing their pool hall!

Dear LORD! LOOK at all those anniversary and Diamond tables! The wood paneling. I wonder if they realize the fortune they have there?

I sure would be happy to take away one of those old tables for them... ;)

In the early-mid 70's I played in a 3-cushion tourney at the UM union (on the 2nd floor). They had 2 billiard tables and all anniversaries, today they only have 1 plus a 10' snooker table. In the mid 70's I also played in a 9-ball tourney before taking my brother to a David Bowie concert, his first live concert.

Dennis Dieckman used to live in Ann Arbor and also played in that 3C tourney. A great advocate of 3C, Carl Conlon, also lived in that area and was a great promoter of the game and great friends w/Dennis. I lived about an hour away.

My nephew from California is graduating from UM this year and 3 years ago he texted me a picture of his UM billiard club membership card - my wife and I immediately sent him a cue and case.

I think our own PT109 bought the Anniversaries that were sold to put in GCs.

You do not have to be a student to play there so stop in if you're in the area.

Dave (living in CO now)
