why is it that of all the players Miz is remembered with a special section
and some of the others are not
I miss Ronnie and Red and both Eddies and Titanic
I am surprised there is not a lot more on Az about Eddie Taylor
He was the most remarkable player and very interesting as well
Jersey Red was some kind of fun,interesting to talk to,a pleasure to be around
,a wealth of information and a character to beat the band

I had to stop when I wrote his name,it almost made me cry
Ronnie could be treacherous and then Ronnie could be different
I saw him entertain my children,shark my son when he was playing,tell stories about
his past to my wife,speak in hushed tones about regrets and his ex wife,how he loved her
I guess the Hustler was Eddie but the movie wasn't like Ronnie that I knew, Newman got
his thumbs broken, Ronnie signed a picture for us .It featured him shooting pool with a
bruised face,he explained an unpleasant episode
Ronnie loved fishing in my pond,he drove miles into the country to fish for hours alone.when
he came in for dinner he was pleasant and respectful around the family
I don't recall Ronnie using bad language,he was cheerful yet he knew that
the best days were over and the last of the road was bumpy.He lived on borrowed money,
but people liked to think they were identifying with the last American cowboy
A part of america died when Ronnie passed away
this may not be the place to remember Ronnie Allen,but while Billy S Billy i, and Jam and Keith are still with us
