wood for your cue

I think people are interested, but concerned.

Do you have cues we can see? Do you have a website? Are there other posters here who use your cues?

I have a cue by Marshall and can say no problems with warping or any other thing so far. He guarantees his work and is easy to deal with as well.

humm....I've been experimenting with the 45 degree cuts and made a butt piece like those cues...I will have to try it some more....interesting idea with the points and 45 cuts

You know what I guess I should just forgett this whole thing so much for trying to get people a cue that could be in there price range.

Chill man, I don't think it's too much to ask to at least let people know what they are getting. You don't go to a car dealership and randomly throw money at them hoping you get a car that works and looks good. Can't really take a test drive with an unmade cue, but its nice to see your work before you invest ANYTHING in your cues.

Different cue makers have different styles. I like some, I dislike some. I'm not going to pay a cuemaker to blindly make me a cue when I don't like his work.

The concept of a raffle to build a cue is great. LP Cues did this last week and he sold out real quick. He also had links to his site so you could see his work.

I did however like his model for the raffle and it might do you well in the future. He gives you options of wood and styles, you just take your $15 chance. Maybe I'm the only one who doesnt have a bunch of wood laying around???

But anyway, your cues are nice. Unique. Sorry, just thought it might be good to show off your work.

it ok...I just like it when the time factor comes in because no one knows my process and I didn;t want everyone to know what I do to turn it out that fast so does it bother me....well it did .... especially when you post up tha the cue will be a boomerang..... and I just thought you agreed with him.... that should have been asked through a pm.. but thanks

Very unique. Nicely done.

for those who have said that I do a good job and or that my work is great or beautiful, I want to thank everyone and let you all know that I am humbled by all the comments. And I hope not to dissapoint.

30 spots?

Just another point for you to consider to make your raffle smoother and more successful, one that I'm shocked not to have seen in this thread so far.

You say you are taking 30 spots, and holding the drawing on August 1. Who is drawing the number, you? The thing about raffles here on AZB, and why they are always for 46 spots, is that you can use the Mega-Millions lottery drawing to determine the actual number drawn, and everyone can verify it online, so there is no question of it's accuracy.

PLEASE don't take this personally. It's not meant to suggest that you can't be trusted, or anything of the like. I just believe you will attract more customers if you run your raffle the way most everyone else here does, and it'll be less hassle for you in the long run to not have to answer questions about the drawing itself.

Personally I'm looking forward to your doing raffles here, as I love the look of your cues in the photos that I've seen. I'n not in a position to enter into this one just now, but I'll certainly be following your progress here and in your thread on the main page.

Good luck.

Thanks.....for the input...
here's what I was thinking...

1. I have nothing to gain by having a friend win.
2. whoever wins, I will call and make sure that the cues progress is in the open.
3. If a friend wins then surely I still collect and not everyone loses money.
4. I want to start a good reputation and if I run a shady trade/sale then surely no one will ever, buy from me here.
5. I wanted to do a video of the raffle.
6. I just do not feel right taking 46 peoples money and only one win.... not for purposes of more reviews. maybe to sale.

next time I will do a raffle.
maybe in a month.....
46 spots at $8
then afterwards if the reviews are good then I'll have to raise the spots.
I wish I could do it where the spots are for $5 but what will I use to do this to collect at least $800 any suggestions is great.
