Ask yourself how many Pros are only using Cues & Shaft they use because they are paid to use them?

Both my cues have their original maple shafts, and I don't have any FOMO (fear of missing out) about it. That isn't to say I'm against other materials. I'd happily try a non-wood shaft, but I'd prefer it approximate the color of maple. I tend to be a traditionalist about cue aesthetics. Then again, pool is a hobby for me. If I got heavily competitive at a high level and needed every last bit of edge, I'd want commensurate equipment regardless of the shafts color.
