In my opinion - absolutely not! With a sound regimen for storage and the processing of shaft dowels, I firmly believe that through the use of stabilizers is a help in attaining and maintaining stability in wood products. Major furniture construction companies have been using it for many years. However, just the use of a stabilizer by itself, without the benefits of a proper turning regimen, is a lesson in futility.

Stabilizing wood usually adds a lot of weight.
