Per the forum rules at the top:

"Supply sources can be asked for, but all replies should be sent in the form of Private Messages. This protects our cuemakers supply sources from the general public. Almost no industry shares their wholesale sources with their customer base. So in fairness to our cuemakers we ask that this type of information be handled through Private Messages."

Google cuemaking wood in the meantime. There isn't a very good chance anyone is going to divulge their best sources to you as they keep drying up..

I find the best wood at alittleinitiative.com. Good luck.

LOL...

You know... A cuemaker of the year once conveyed to me his frustration at how easy it is to find things out these days.

Case in point being someone posting online their desire for a wood source. Furthermore, nearly everything he learned the hard way is easily available for just a little effort..

wanted to use this website as my source... sorry for that. google will be fine. was going to buy some of the junk you guys don't use. I am making furniture not cues. thanks for the info.

I usually buy turning squares. I pay more that way, but it also allows the suppliers to pick higher grade materials. There is less loss that way. I do not reveal my wholesale sources as I found when more cuemakers find out about them they raise their prices. I bought out another cue wood suppler who retired, so I have a few thousand pieces of paritally turned wood that has been turned round and seasoning for over ten years. Unless people buy it all up off my website I have enough wood to build a lifetime of cues.
