Yeah, socks. A couple yrs ago i started wearing lightweight wool-blend sox. Folks if you haven't tried them, DO. Warm in winter, cool in summer and DRY all the time. Unlike cotton that gets and stays wet, wool's 'wicking' ability keeps your dogs dry. I buy mine on Amazon, they run about 25bux for 4prs of the ankle-highs. Crew length are about same. I call 'em 'A/C for your feet'. Give 'em a shot. I don't play pool or golf without them on.

When I worked on water wells and windmills on a regular basis I wore Filson wool socks they're not that inexpensive as those mentioned above but will out last many other pairs of socks .
They offer different weights I had the most wear out of the heavy weight ones back then .

They are expensive but very well made. I've had no issues with the sox i've found on Amazon. For pool/golf they hold up pretty well. These are good: https://www.amazon.com/Merino-Hikin...VBLYGXX/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B07ZWJ2TNT&psc=1

I wear socks maybe 30-45 days a year. It might get a few cold enough days in February and I have a few "dress up" occasions during the year. For those times, I wear Falke Walkie Ergo Socks (https://www.falke.com/dk_en/p/walkie-ergo-socks/16480_4490/). They are cut for right and left fit, which is nice.

The rest of the year, it's barefoot or sandals (Mephisto Sharks https://www.mephisto.com/us/shark-1372366.html) or flip flops (Olukai Ohana https://olukai.com/products/ohana-mens-beach-sandals-stone?variant=32925962829923). Never was a fan of socks.

I vowed that when I win the lottery I will never wear a pair of socks a second time, 1 use and they go in the garbage. With the price of some of those socks it looks like my lottery goal will have move up slightly from $200 million to probably $250 million to keep me in fresh socks.
I've had similar thoughts. Buy them up front for the year and toss or donate them after one wear.

I did this for years. 6 pair of Jersee crews for .$3.00, sometime scored the bonus pack with 7 pair.

Well worth it.

That's funny, I feel the same way. A new pair of socks feel great don't they!

wool is the bomb. a bit pricey up front, for socks, but they are comfortable, durable, and good pretty much anytime.
...and you can play pool in them ^_^

I read an article about Jerry Lewis only wearing new socks each day and donating them after a single use. I'd like to do that with both socks and underwear if I had the money.
