We would like to do a poll on what matches in the round robin you would like to see filmed for DVD and VHS availability.

Thorsten Hohmann vs John Schmidt
Jeanette Lee vs Mike Sigel
Johnny ARcher vs Danny Harriman
Oliver Ortmann vs Dennis Hatch
Mika Immonen vs Jose Garcia
Tony Robles vs Thomas Engert
Jasmin Ouschan vs ?
Nick Varner vs Dennis Orcullo
Mike Sigel vs Ralf Souquet
Bobby Hunter vs Mike Zuglan

or tell us your favorite match ups.
Thank you

From group 7 I'd like to see also Foldes' matches. Also Petroni from group 6 should be fun to watch. In addition to your suggestions...

Please record Jasmin for us!! Is there a change we can vote what we want to see at the live-stream as well!!?? Or isn't there a livestream!!??

I voted for Engert/Robles, but only because Hohmann/Schmidt was not among the choices.

I agree 100%. (They must have added Hohmann/Schmidt because it's there now.) I'd also love to see Souquet/Sigel.

SJM, I keep wondering how come I didn't know you when I lived in NYC? Did you pretty much stay at Amsterdam? I played at Chelsea because I didn't like the loud music at Amsterdam.

Perhaps we did know each other, Ted.

As a youth, when I wasn't playing in my dad's basement, I played at the Golden Q in Queens. I played at Corner Billiards in the early 90's and have played at Amsterdam Billiard Club since then.

I played the Tuesday night weekly handicap event at Chelsea, which probably had a dozen pros in the field every week, from 1996-97. This tournament was often referred to as the "Johnny B" tournament.

I played in the straight pool leagues at both Corner Billiards and Amsterdam Billiard Club for years and competed in numerous TriState tour events from 1998-2003, where I carried an A+ rating at the time I stopped competing.

Hope that gives you some clues.

If its not possible to make top quality videos of more than on match at a time, is there any way to get even home video quality video of some other matches?

I think a lot of 14.1 fans would be more than happy to watch a lower quality version of a match than not be able to see it at all. Maybe we can get some azb'ers to throw commentary on afterwards... love to hear SJM, Riley, and others comments on a tape.

I have feeling we might have passed like ships in the night. I played at Julians on 14th St, 1980-1984. Then didn't play much till Chelsea opened. I played at Chelsea until about 1993-4, or around the time George Makula passed away. When George died, pool at Chelsea lost its luster and golf became my passion. I didn't pick up a cue for nearly 10 years, until I moved to Oregon.

Thanks for the input thus far.
We will be filming matches on Day 1 and Day 2 of round robin and then the final day which will be semi-final #1, semi #2, and then the finals

Im hoping to video a few matches if its allowed, will let you know how it goes.

We're these matches ever filmed? Are they going to be available at any point? I would love to see Hohmann's 174 if it is available.

There was a TV tables setup and a few matches where being filmed each day. Sadly I didnt get to video anything as played a bit longer than hoped and the schedule was brutal. :(

Sure Randy will be able to shed some light on it?

As I could remember, that game didn't happen on the TV table.
Charlie said the dvd post production would take 1 month. You should pm him for details. :)
