At least six of the players at Comet have run 100 or more at the Derby City14.1 Challenge on pretty tight Diamonds. Deuel, Immonen and Davis each ran over 150 there. Of course it's easier in a way without an opponent.

I dunno I personally find 14.1 more compelling than 9 ball.
As for the general public, if they care about who is playing they'll watch them do anything.
It's not pool that needs to be sold, it's the players. Do that and we can put on any game we want.
FWIW every non-player that I have introduced to 14.1 has loved the game. They often play it with their other friends.
