It is the first time a fee has been charged but as most players expect to pay something then it could add another $25,000 to the prize fund.
But as there is no sanctioning fee from the players for this tournament I assume that the WPA will keep this money.

Yes I was wondering about where the entry fees would go, it is not like the WPA to turn down their sanctioning fee so I guess they have traded the 5% of $204,000 ($10,200) for the entry fees 112 X $200 ($22,400). Of course that is all conjecture, I don't know it there is any truth in it.
