Hi Berry,

*lol****the only thing that matters really is SOCCER ...you know it and I know it *lol***

PS: There is always a next Euro-Championship....but so far we team up quite nicely for the Mosconi Cup, where we jointly will kick butt......with the US Team.... :-))

Markus

The only way the Germans could play at the WC soccer was organizing it. The Dutch are ranked second by the FIFA......

And with the mosconi cup, europe has the best team in years, we will showe those yanks how to play pool.

:D :D :D

Berry

P.s. Wu won against Alex Lely 10-7 and Hohmann also won, both now at the L16.

Wu and Hohmann face each other in the next round. This should be a very interesting matchup, considering they're both WPC 9ball champions. Wouldn't it be something if Wu won both the 9ball and 8ball championships in the SAME year? I'm rooting for Wu.

L32 results:

Alex Lely NED vs. Wu Chia Ching TPE 7-10
Thorsten Hohmann GER vs. Elvis Calasang 10-5
Ismael Paez MEX vs. Daryl Peach UK 6-10
Ralf Souquet GER vs. Chang Jung Lin TPE 10-5

Reyes 1 vs Bustamante 7
Wow...i don't know if Bustamante is on a roll or if Reyes is not playing well, or maybe both.

Hey kidrock, how are you getting this live information?

Reyes kicked out of World 8-ball

Reyes 1 vs. Bustamante 10

Bustamante faces Pagulayan next round...

getting this from Mathilda (www.onthehill.jp) who is covering the event... she's posting in another forum live :D
cool...well keep the updates coming. thanks. :) Now that reyes is out, i want Bustamante to take it all! ;)

just to top this topic, ITS THE WORLD POOL CHAMPIONSHIPS 8-BALL
(with more then 2 players)

I definitely like the winner of Wu and Hohmann to win the event, whoever comes out on top in that one will defintely have to earn it, if Wu goes on to win the event he will become the youngest world champion in both eight ball and nine ball, a pretty impressive resume for a teenager if you ask me!

Bustamante

There's a big chance bustamante will this thing. The man is on a roll and he demolished all his opponents by huge margins. e.g. 10 - 1 against Efren. I don't know if Efren faltered or Bustamante really played well, but that win will boost his confidence more.

Well......you all know who I'm rooting for.....

It's sad that all the filipinos were bunched together. As far as the match between Alex and Bustamante.....well I hope they play their best, but of course I'm rooting for Alex.

He plays all games pretty sporty, and he did come in 3-4 last year in this tournament. He lost to Manalo who played Efren in the finals.

Also, it would be cool on his resume: 2004 World Pool Champion, 2005 US Open Champion, 2005 World 8-Ball Champion?????

Well, I'm hoping....:) :D

I have been submitting regular articles to AZB about the Damas World 8 Ball Pool Championships here in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, and I'm sure Mike will get around to publishing them soon (I guess he's busy elsewhere at the moment).

In the meantime, I hope he won't mind me publishing these links to our UK website articles and photos for your information.

There is no Dutch - German rivaly any more since we won 4 out of the last 6 Eurotours, and the germans 1. We also won the European gold medal in 9-ball and 8-ball, the Germans straight and teams.....

The Dutch Dominate Europe, leaving Germany a good second place and a lot of history.... :D

But indeed nice matchups there, on our website we keep the scores as much as possible up to date and our Head coach send us text messages and daily reports!

Oh please. The Dutch are great players, and Alex Lely is in my top 5 favorite players, but the Germans are known all over the world to play better than the Dutch.

Latest Results:
Wu beat Hohmann 10-9. Wu missed 8 ball, H should have won but missed easy 8 and gave it away,
Peach beat Souquet 10-9
Feijin beat Kawabata 10-6 (Feijin made a 6-pack and out).
Nick Vadenberg won 10-4 against whom I'm not sure.

I heard Efren missed 2 easy shots, but seems the rest of the match was Busta running out.

Usa Representation?

Can someone tell me why the USA representation seems so sparse and without any top players? Not knocking either of the 2 who are there, but was this by invitation only? Also, how much prize money for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. in US dollars? Thanks for any info.
