too difficult to call i think - the standard is so high and there are quite afew players who are more than capable of winning it. peter ebdon, matthew stevens, ding...
stephen maguire has a sublime game and is playing well these days. john higgins is also playing well and can annihillate anybody. peter ebdon
my favourite player mark williams hits em like nobody else does but he's been in a slump of late however - would be great for him to regain some form.
then you've got the young guns like robertson, jamie cope, ryan day, even ali carter who are all capable.
let's not forget probably the greatest snooker player ever stephen hendry and also ronnie, fresh from having a nosh - will probably be fired up too lol.

I like Mark Selby or Stephen Maguire, their both in great form and bring a lot of confidence into the tournament.
Of course Ronnie is always a threat.

Davis doesn't have the game he used to in the eighties, but hendry still has his you know. i don't think Hendry is a long shot at all in the slightest!

I like Higgins at 10-1 and Williams at 40-1, nice betting odds for multiple time world champions who can still play at the highest levels
i really hope williams gets his act together this year and finds a gear but going by his recent form the odds are fair.
