Also this year 24 teams will compete on 4 brand new Gabriels Imperator tables.

The format in germany is different as usual, as we are are talking about a team event. For some reason the Swedish team always seem to win....:smile:

Money. The USBA has limited funds for travel. It costs about $3000 to send two players to Viersen. It is more important to send players (4 last year) to the CPB championships and to the World (singles) Championship (2 last year). Also, the players don't seem to be that interested in going to Viersen where it has been very hard to get out of the preliminary round in past years, which means that each player gets only two matches.
