The tournament just finished in Belgium. The top four finishers were Javier Palazon of Spain 1st (1.268), Glenn Hofman of the Netherlands 2nd (1.088), Hang-Jick Kim of Korea 3rd (0.916), and Sameh Sidhom of Egypt 4th (1.123).

Other countries represented were Turkey, Colombia, Belgium, Japan, France, Venezuela, and Ecuador.

Three of those averages could have won the US championship until Sang Lee arrived. Of course, the conditions are different now, but for 21-and-under, they're still amazing. I think Sidhom's average is the highest I've seen of any Egyptian player.

Earlier this year while vacationing in Florida I had the opportunity to play with two-time past US Junior Champion Justin Gennaro. He told me about the time he got to play in the World Junior Championship. He was very proud that in his good games he played to a 0.800 average, but in the field there was a junior player who averaged 1.800 in his best games. Who would that have been? (I will provide the answer, but I thought some people would like to venture a guess.)
