World Pool Masters 2014 predictions!

Some big upsets for sure already. I so wish this was streamed.
I haven't seen an official thread concerning the Pool Masters. I'll bump this one by saying Congrats to Alex Pagulayan for beating the home favorite and beast of a player, Darren Appleton. Just by reading this play by play, it seemed like an incredible match!

This year event is full of countless upsets
Most 1st tier elites knocked out in 1st round -Niels. Thorsten. Darren, Dennis, Mika
Alex just knocked out by Niko 3-8 in 2nd round - Alex was leading 3-1 but Nikos took over and won next 7 racks
Now down to 6 players- only 1st tier elite left is Shane
4 are Mosconi players 3 are relative newbies from Euro and 1 from USA
Looks like this years Euro Mosconi team perform well with short sets and under pressure
and will be as strong as previous Eurp Mosconi teams
In about from 7 to 8 hrs a champion will be crowned likely a new champ.
On paper Shane should be favorite from now on but he first has to beat 2 Brits (Mark Gray followed by Boyes or Meiling) on their home ground- not easy task. But realistically with so many upsets this year, anyone of the remaining 6 can win it
