World Pool Masters Doesn't Seem to be on ESPN3

Watching the Alex vs Alex re-run right now....that cloth is SLOW..

could it be the bad weather - cool and very damp, at least it looks like it.
I can relate to those playing conditions, ...as slow,
tables have feelings to youno.

Why do you hate American players so much? Your contempt for them is always obvious in your posts and the way you commentate at the Mosconi

Thanks Rob, It's good to know you have fans out there. FYI, Alex Lely is NOT American! As far as my commentating is concerned you probably would prefer I not say it's a bad shot when an American player drives a ball into the rail. I could just say the ball must have rolled off. Would that make you happy? Or how about when they play a safety that leaves their opponent an open shot? Perhaps I should say they are just testing their opponent's ball pocketing skills. Or when they scratch, I could say the cue ball got kissed in.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Rob, but I plan to continue calling them like I see 'em regardless of what country the player is from. I'm pretty much color (and nationality) blind when it comes to pool and how someone is playing. I'm not for or against anyone! In fact, I probably pull harder for the American side in the MC than you do. There is nothing I'd rather see than a close match. Please don't blame me if our players fall apart under the pressure of the MC.

In the meantime keep all those cards and letters coming!

If you knew Jay you would know how bad he wants USA to win, does it sound like he's for Europe? - well yeah, kinda, cause they are the ones playing great. It's hard to sugar coat a turd and have people believe it's a doughnut.

I think Biado should’ve been first pick of the wild cards.
WTH, he’s the current world champion of the game they’re playing right now.

Down 7-4 to Souquet, Boyes pockets the 2 ball and the cueball is going down the cushion straight into the corner pocket for a scratch. Boyes whacks the table with his shaft near the path of the cueball, and the cueball veers out from the cushion and doesn't scratch. No foul is called and Boyes runs out.

After watching it 5 times in slow motion it appears the CB starts to move away from the rail just before Boyes hits the table. Maybe the CB hit a piece of chalk in the cloth.

I saw the cue ball roll off in the same area Of the table in another match. Those rasson tables always seem to be rolling off.

In my opinion it shouldn't matter whether his whacking the table affected the cueball or not (and we can't be sure it didn't), it should be a foul. If that's not a foul then every time my cueball is headed towards a pocket I will whack the table with my shaft.

How many whacks do I get before it's a foul, and how close to the cueball can I hit the table without it being a foul? Can I hit the table with something other than my shaft? Can I pound my hand on the bed of the table?

Anybody who thinks winner break can't be exciting should watch that Souquet-Boyes match. Just..wow!

Great comeback and very exciting. i still prefer alternate break though for reasons unrelated to this particular match - and I find it both more interesting and more excitng as a format.

It's been a good tournament so far - very entertaining. Winner breaks might even be appropriate for this invitational tournament .

Looks like we are gonna get Shaw vs Van Boening. See what happens with a neutral racket after derby city. My guess Shane wins 8-4. Go Shane!!

Hoping for some more Shaw blunders!
Him vs. Pag was pretty bad at times.

Feijen up 5-3 over Boyes in the first semifinal.

I think they should get rid of that extension cord. It seems like they have to warn the players at least once a rack about tripping over it.
