Shaw gets out of line on the 6, over cuts it but gets an incredibly lucky kiss of the 8 to make the 6. Shaw goes up 6-5, looks like the pool gods are on his side.
 
Alcaide plays a bad safe on the 3 and sells out. Shaw misses the 6 but gets another incredibly lucky roll to hook Alcaide. Alcaide makes a nice hit on the 6, leaves a tough shot on the 6. Shaw misses the 6 and gets yet another roll to hook Alcaide. Alcaide jumps over the 8 and makes the 6! Alcaide runs out to tie it at 7-7, hill-hill!
 
Very fitting that SVB gets eliminated by the person who wins the whole thing. Can't call it a fluke now. SVB fanboys rejoice...

BTW, Alex Lely's commentary was consistently great. Pithy and didactic, I felt like I learned a lot.

They ought to try shopping the Matchroom events to the BeIn network. They should have familiarity/dealings with it in Europe as I think it originally came out of the mideast and here in the States has become a huge broadcaster of international events like all of motorcycle racing, soccer, etc.
