World Pool Series Grand Final (8Ball) 31 Oct-3Nov

Ka-ching Ka-ching, Kaci wins it 13-11 over Mika's Tonto.
Pretty impressive as this 18 year from Albania has won 2 legs of WPS. The kid's got legs and has put Albania on the pool map. The last time I heard Albanian spoken is a scene in that Densel Washington Jodie Foster movie "Inside Man"
Congrats to Kaci :)

What a great tournament! I hope they look at a west coast stop next year. I suspect California Billiards would be up for hosting.

For those lamenting that there is no money in Pool, the kid just made $38,000 in the last two weeks! He could probably buy a very nice house in Albania with that amount of money. Not bad for an 18 year old kid.

Sure, that’s probably good money for an 18 year old Albanian. It’s not good for a 30 year old American.

An 18-22 year old NFL rookie gets minimum 450k, nba is 562k, and mlb is over 500k. You make this if you are the absolute bottom of the professional level.

Best pool player in the world gets 150-200k on an extremely good year.

There’s really no argument in which one can say there is money in pool.

The kid EARNED $38,000 by making it to two straight finals.

What about all the other great players that fell short? How many peanuts did they make?

Both true.
Chump change for being at or near the top of your sport.

The WPS is getting 20-50k views for their matches. The higher number is coming from the UNILAD page though. That's a decent start I think, something you can build off. That said I don't know how views are calculated on facebook.

If they can keep increasing those numbers and put more bums in seats, the money will follow.

The way Darren was talking, there'll be a 2018 season. So that's a good thing. More tournaments for the players.

They just need to change the break rules. Break from anywhere. Alex P. was suggesting that as well.

Nothing will change until you are getting a minimum of 500k unique viewers watching. No one is going to spend enough money on advertising that will make a difference until there is the potential to be seen by millions. 500k would get their attention and it would take more to even think about pulling the trigger.
