Jimmy actually beat Stephen in the final at the crucible last time!

The schedule
Ahmed plays Wayne Cooper at 8:30 CST tomorrow (May 5th)
Currently Lee Walker is playing Tony Knowles 1-0 and snookers required by Tony in frame 2

update: Tony didn't get the snookers he needed 2-0 for Lee Walker now
update2: Lee finishes up with 3-0 and faces Stephen Hendry next.

Dennis and Cliff doing the commentary on the next match. Canada's (probably best current snooker player) Bob Chaperon against Philip

edit: Bob captured the 3 frame on the black and is now 1-2 against Phil
edit2: Phil wins the 4th frame and moves into the next round against David Lilley

Although low on the radar after the Crucible, this is an important tournament for these players. The winner qualifies for the Champion of Champions.

Playing in the crucible is also a dream by most players picking up a snooker cue!

and we're live with Ahmed:

UK proxy/VPN required

JV and Cliff providing the commentary

edit: Ahmed went for a speculative shot-to-nothing in the middle pocket and left it, Wayne responded with a 54 and that was enough to win the first frame. Ahmed-Wayne: 0-1
edit2: Ahmed got a dreaded double kiss on a safety shot, leaves a red and Wayne makes a 70. 0-2
edit3: Got a bit scary when Wayne got the snookers he needed, but Ahmed cleared up the colors to get his first frame on the board: 1-2
edit4: Frame 4 goes to Wayne so he goes ahead to play Ken in the next round

A Jimmy - Stephen final would be spectacular again..... Realistically though, Michael Holt would have a great shot at it!

It’s often said as a cliche but true in this tournament. It’s one of those in which I want just about everyone to win. Nice to see past high ranking players win but also great to have lower ranked players get a taste of the glory.
