Joe Perry, David Gilbert and Ryan Day came through qualifying on Wednesday to secure their respective places in the last-32 draw at the 2023 World Championship. The draw will be staged on Thursday morning with the top 16 seeds, including defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan, paired alongside the 16 qualifiers. The 47th Crucible event starts on Saturday 15 April and runs until Monday 1 May. :

Jordan Brown will not want to relive the final moments of his 10-7 defeat to Si Jiahui in the final round of World Championship qualifying. Bidding to return to the Crucible Theatre for the first time since 2020, the former Welsh Open winner twice missed the pink from close range as Si finalised victory. The 2006 world champion Graeme Dott and 2013 finalist Barry Hawkins are also out. :
