Thats was really funny.
I know people just like that. I've played against them. Only difference was they didn't have that much money and they actually were trying to play. You start out playing for something and get way ahead and then they want to try to catch it all up at once by trying to large roll you on the bet. Then they keep trying to double it. Once they get even or a little bit ahead, they make an excuse to leave and think they "beat you".
I was smart enough to take whatever I could off of them on "my terms" and "my bet". I had some guys who would try to large roll you right off the bat in the hopes they could win a game or two quick so they could get you rattled. I never let these guys phase me with their flashing money because I always had enough money to play depending upon what kind of game they wanted to play.
I can't count the number of times I've walked out of a place with somebody else's money and the whole time they were telling me they could beat me "if we played for more".
Then they would come back the next week and I'd rob them again. And they would leave telling the same story about "if the stakes were higher I could have won".
Sometimes more is less...in your pocket. LMAO

I think we all have stories like this. I remember a time when I was at a bar I wasn't familiar with and a guy wanted to play for drinks. Then it was 10 bucks a rack, then 50 for race to 5, then 100 to race to 5, etc...
At the end of the night I was funneling money to my girlfriend because I didn't know the place but we ended up leaving without any issue ... about 800 bucks up with him still saying "I could beat you but you quit winner!"
This came about in a place where my girlfriend and I just went in to get drinks before a concert we were going to... I was playing off the rack ... just crazy stuff.
