worth a re-finish??

Cool looking, but after a refinish, wrap, ferrule, tip, etc. would I be better of finding a cool older cue in better condition?? Wouldn't want to try and flip it, just something to break out at the poolhall as a conversation piece, etc. :cool: Sound like a project you'd like Bill (the Cat)?

If the price doesn't get outrageous, and you like it, then you should buy it. I don't believe I would do a re wrap and refinish however. I would replace the ferrule and tip, clean up the shaft and go with it. I am not a cue collector but I know there are many who are so I don't know all of the ins and outs of a cue such as this as far as value but I believe it will be higher than a newer, lower end cue in better shape. Often they are worth more in their original, non- refinished state.

Thanks Dick. I'm not a collector either, and don't even know if this cues worth the shipping price...just thought it'd look really good all cleaned up and maybe bring the beauty back out in the wood with a refinish. I guess I kinda have a little Homer Simpson in me - ooooooh, shiny!! lol ;)
